 So much was going in the 19-teens and twenties to make Chicago the first A
 merican capital of cabaret. The Stroll on State Street featured Black perf
 ormers like Alberta Hunter and band leaders like Lil Hardin Armstrong\, an
 d club owners. Harlem picks up the baton in the 30s. And Barney Josephson 
 opens Café Society in the 40s expressly to create an environment where Bl
 ack and white performers and audience could work and enjoy together.\n\nPa
 nelists include:\n\nDan Johnson - Chicago's History of Blacks in Cabaret\n
 Natalie Douglas - Creator of many tribute shows celebrating Black artists\
 nLynn Colbert-Jones - Songwriter\nHermene Hartman - Publisher\n\n&nbsp\;\n
 \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSuggested donation for the 4-part series: $100 or more for p
 atrons\, $60 per family\, $40 for VIP\, $25 for general admission\, and $5
