Join us for “Un ballo in maschera” —a Bellissima friendraiser

Just in time for Halloween and World Opera Day, be inspired by masked balls of yore.

Spend an exclusive evening with Bellissima Opera Artistic Director Christine Steyer, pianist Peter Storms, and 38 of your best new friends. Be among the select few to unmask details of our 2023 featured works!

Enjoy wine, craft beer, appetizers, and a brief performance. Costumes and theatrical masks are encouraged, with prizes for the most creative. Space is limited, so register today!

Our goal is to raise $3,500 to:

  • Bring Bellissima’s Opera in the Classroom to the Catalyst Grammar School in Austin and Holy Trinity High School at Noble Square, Chicago. Our teaching artists will present vocal music and stories followed by a lively Q&A to several assemblies totaling 1000 students.
  • Commission an original women’s quartet “Will They Remember Life Was Beautiful”. This contemplation on young lives lost to gun violence will premiere at our 2nd Annual International Women’s Day Concert on March 5, 2023. The lyricist and composer will be revealed at our friendraiser!

When: Saturday, October 22, from 7:30-9:30 pm

Where: Private home in Oak Park – free street parking. The address will be sent one week prior to the event.

Regular admission is $40 per person.
VIPs donate $100 as extra support (includes a set of 3 raffle tickets).

Raffle tickets will be on sale during the evening: 1 for $10 or 3 for $25. The grand prize is a weekend getaway at a private cabin in South Haven, Michigan.
