French Intern 2026 – Alice Blouet
Individual donors have given more than $179,000 in the past five years, as of Thanksgiving 2025. One-third came in the past year alone.
Awards coming to us by early 2026: $8,400 from the State of Illinois Arts Council and $10,000 from Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.

Bellissima Opera & Song
Help us create new works for classical voice and opera and celebrate the classical songs in intimate settings.
Our annual concert for International Women’s Day focuses on female composers and performers. —$2000 to $4000 underwrites a classical vocal arts concert. Donate in increments of $500.
Our 2026 summer opera is the Marriage of Figaro – Revealed & Unwrapped. Hear the music, get the scoop! Beaumarchais’ controversial play questioning the legitimacy of kings and privilege of aristocrats is as relevant today as ever. Become a major sponsor at $5000. Or increments of $1,000.
Cabaret in the Classroom
We are expanding our classroom offerings with thought-provoking programs to “Uplift Diverse Voices in our Schools” —$1500 supports three performers in an all-day residency. Support our assembly programs in increments of $250.
Black Voices in Cabaret
Offer a bi-monthly series.
—$3000 underwrites a concert by the award-winning roster of African-American performers. Support the concerts in increments of $500.
Chicago Cabaret Week
Join us as a sponsor or donor to help the annual mid-May Chicago Cabaret Week. Select your tier of sponsorship, supply your name and/or business. Be a supporter of this event that reaches thousands.
Let us know by late February about your playbill sponsorship ad so it will be included in printed brochures, radio spots and web pages. Ads range from $50 to $800.
Chicago Paris Cabaret Connexion
Help us bring top-ranking French performers to Chicago for the 8th annual Chicago Paris Cabaret Connexion in Chicago November 2026.
—$1000 flies a fabulous performer direct from Paris with costumes and props in the checked baggage!
—$ 500 supports our French intern for one month.
Alice Blouet comes to Chicago
We are raising $4,000 to bring 20-year-old Alice Blouet from the University of Lyon where she is majoring in Arts Management to be our intern for almost 4 months. $1000 buys her round-trip air fare. $400 covers each month of the formal processing and visa assistance from the Council for International Education Exchange. $500 keeps Alice fed, housed and transported each month. Songshop Live
Grow our SongShop Scholarship Fund to provide advanced training for professionals and advanced amateurs
