At the Studio Hébertot in the 17th arrondissement, this concert will feature brilliant American and French artists: Benjamin Legrand tells of travels with his father Michel, destined for Hollywood; Isabelle Georges and her melting pot, from Judy Garland to Jacques Brel, via Nino Rota and Yiddish music; the raising of Lynne Jordan, one of Chicago’s greatest blues singers; and the itinerant life of Michèle Barbier, from Algeria to the circus, via Joséphine Baker’s château… Stories that resonate and touch each and every one of us. La “Chicago Paris Cabaret Connexion” a été créée en 2017 par une chanteuse de cabaret américaine, Claudia Hommel, née à Paris. Elle a pour but d’encourager les échanges d’artistes entre nos deux continents, pour dynamiser, enrichir et mettre en lumière le cabaret artistique. Depuis sa création, la CPCC a déjà organisé deux échanges à Chicago et deux rencontres à Paris.
Cette année nous avons créé l’association Cabaret Connexion pour organiser à Paris le 1er Festival Cabaret. Bienvenue !
