News from Black Voices artists!

If you’ve enjoyed the recent Healing Through Song concert series and the Black Voices in History panel that preceded it, then you won’t want to miss this opportunity to support some of the artists who contributed to these wonderful events. Here are a few ways that you can support some new endeavors that our artists and performers are working on:

Bobbi Wilsyn pays tribute to some of the greats that have influenced her as a jazz singer. Accompanied by Miguel de la Cerna – piano, Marlene Rosenberg – bass, and Greg Artry- drums.

Paula Dione Ingram has a CD available on Amazon: “Art.Legacy.Celebration.~ A Salute to Black-American Composers of Art Songs and Spirituals” Volume 1

Ava Saunders released an EP in December. You can get it on Spotify or on Apple Music.

Mark Ruffin has a new book: Bebop Fairy Tales: An Historical Fiction Trilogy on Jazz, Intolerance, and Baseball. Willard Jenkins says, “Bebop Fairy Tales is a lively volume, full of engrossing tales and true-to-life stories immersed in the jazz ethic, dressed in the peculiar garments of racial nuances in America and reflections on that most uniquely American pastime baseball, all pointing to the unique impact of jazz on this country’s landscape.”
